Get Your Materials (Save or Save Time)

You can buy your own materials and save $100’s or save the time and let your contractor handle all the ordering, delivery, and heavy lifting.

Here’s how to do it right if you choose to DIY your supplies.

✔️ Smart DIY Materials Checklist

✅ Ask for a detailed list: Always get a complete materials list from your contractor including board type, mud, tape, screws, corner bead, and protective floor covering.

✅ Use the right store: We recommend Home Depot Pro Desk for larger orders. For orders over $1,500, call instead of placing it online you can ask for bulk discounts!

✅ Place your order right: Many materials can be ordered online for curbside pickup but drywall sheets can’t, so plan ahead.

✅ Delivery beats hauling: Pay the $80–$100 for delivery if you don’t have a truck and crew. But remember: delivery means “drop at your curb” you’ll still need to carry everything inside!

✅ Double-check everything: Always match your receipt with your contractor’s list. When the truck arrives, count every board, bag, and box.

✅ Store it right: If you don’t move it into the project space, store it dry in your garage. The less moving your contractor has to do, the more you save.
